Mushy Brakes

Hi, My brake pedal has a bit more travel than I am comfortable with, but I have flushed new fluid though, and bled them twice, still the same. The third application in succession gives a good firm pedal. Am I just useless at bleeding brakes, or might I have a bad master cylinder?

mine were a bit mushy till main dealer changed fluid at a service - i wasnt expecting firmer brakes tbh or less pedal travel - might be worth a main dealer bleed as i think they use vacuum or pressure to expel air - i must admit i hadnt realised mine were wrong till they were fixed

Sometimes need doing more than once to eliminate all air.

Don't shake the fluid up before use, this will aerate it!!
