I've fitted these a couple of thousand miles ago, nicely surprised that the discs haven't warped like they used to on FWD cars alot from what i've heard.

I was just wondering is it normal to have your oil light come on when you do an emergency stop? never noticed it before fitting them and the oil level is just beow max, I'm guessing it's the oil carrying on in engine sump doing 50mph when the cars now doing 10mph or whatever and theres nothing at the pick up as it's all climbing up the front face fo the engine? As soon as the cars no longer decelerating the oil light goes off again.

All my mates though i was going all boy racer again fitting the brakes, it's actually to fend off brake fade for when/if i ever get around to getting a caravan and towbar, (9mpg and no congestion charge should really p*** off the greenies lol)

Hi John. What tends to warp the discs is sitting with a heavey foot on the brake when stationary.

Regarding the oil light coming on when doing an emergency stop, I cannot believe its an oil issue otherwise the light would be on when idling. In my view its more likely to be a wiring fault. I can only suggest tracing the relevant wiring looking for possible earth/shorting faults. I would be inclined to start with the gauge itself and its soldered joints.
