Filter thingy behind the glovebox, the one that catches the leaves ... anyone know what the heck it is on a Mk2 GS300? Is it a general air filter or a pollen filter?

Reason I ask is mine is full of :tsktsk: and a quick scour of fleebay has them ranging from £5 to £50. What the heck is the difference that could justify such a spread??

Ask your dealer. I think they are supposed to be changed on each service on the Mk2 GS range.

Odds on my trekking back to my local dealer are pretty slim. I had ***** pour customer service from them a while back and really don't see why I should return for another session of condescension.

It is a pollen filter which should be changed on a yearly basis. Cost from Lexus is around £30-£35 + VAT. It might be an idea to complain to the dealer principle if the customer service was that bad.
