I cannot remember if the window switches (MKIII) have lights. If they do, are they on a seperate fuse? If so where? What bulb spec?

Could be a strange question and yes I have switched the lights and ignition on.

yes i was wondering if they could be made brighte but it seems you cant even get to the bulb

They aren't bulbs, they're LEDs. Mine were really dim, so I upgraded them to modern high output types. All you need to do is prise the panel out of the door, unplug the unit and you will see the LEDs soldered to a PCB under the switch(es). The drivers panel has 4 switches, the others 1. Maplin sell all types of LEDs, the original Lexus ones are tiny green ones, not very bright. They have resistors in series with them as they work on about 2volts but are fed from 12volts. If you buy 12 volt LEDs, you can do away with the resistors or you can just replace with the same type. I fitted white high output ones rated at 2 volt. The switches light up beautifully now. Paul
