It will be your dual mass flywheel that's causing the judder I would say. Try rising the revs a little when you take off, that should help stop it. As long as the clutch isn't slipping then I would worry about it to much.

This should give you an idea of parts cost, beer in mind you'll need to replace the flywheel as well. Wouldn't be the easiest of DIY jobs unless you have access to a hoist.
