Hi there,

I've got a 1998 Lexus GS 300 (UK) - and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me!

Last week I spent £700 + as the auxillery belt pulley broke and was due a timing belt change too, so really don't fancy parting with more hard earned cash.

The boot on my GS is stuck shut, you still get the clicking noise in the front left of the cabin and also the boot but it won't open. The key won't turn in it either.

I've tried unplugging the Battery, pushing down on the boot, made sure the deadlock isn't on.

I need to get into the boot, but obviously there is the steel plate on the back of the rear seats.

Is there any way to get into the boot bearing this all in mind? as something could have got caught in it.

If not can anyone recommend a good independant who might be able to help? and a rough idea of the cost of a replacement boot motor!

Cheers,

Rob
