Air Con And Blowers Ls430

My air con stopped putting out cold air. I called in the mobile air con guy who tested the system and said it was all fine. He thought it was an electrical problem. He pulled off the connector to the air com pump. Then all the fans stopped working also the temp gauge. The display says "Check Air con connector" He told me to take it to get it checked by Lexus and disappeared rather rapidly. Can anyone tell me whether discharging the electrical system and resetting it would fix this or does anyone know what I can try before going to Lexus (££££££££). Model is LS430 on an X plate.

Got a flat Battery a couple of weeks ago, and when I charged it I noticed that the air con wasnt working.

The auto light was flashing and nothing worked, but after five minutes it seemed to reset itself and started working again.

So pulling the Battery for a while then re-connecting it may reset the system.

As long as there isnt a problem with radio codes, it shouldnt do any harm even if it doesnt work.

Update on this problem: after an hour on the ramp at Lexus they have told me the A/C ECU is kaput and needs replacing (£1000) anyone know where I can get a second hand unit?

You might be ok looking on eBay. I think there was a 2001 LS430 being broken so it might be worth a look.
