R134 recycled 510gr = Weight of refrigerant removed from your aircon system was 510g

Vacuum 25mn = degree of vacuum.... Cant recognise mn as a measure of vacuum but best guess would be 25 inches of mercury

Unloaded oil = the weight of oil removed in the recovery of the refrigerant

Oil charged = how much lubricant was put into the aircon system

Tracer yes = UV dye injected into aircon system

R134 loaded 600g = the weight of refrigerant put into your aircon system was 600g

30 mins test 2-0c = Best guess tested for 30 mins, vent temp achieved 2 Centigrade.

Simples!

Hi glad you posted about the air con as I was about to post a query; Also just had mine done by an independent but there was total confusion as the Lexus sticker in the engine compartment says R134a charge 100 grm + - 50 grm .Now after much disscussion and a few phone calls it was agreed this cannot be right and 600 grm was put in .works fine so I'm reassured that 600 grm seems to be the correct amount as I was worried it may cause some problem

Generally speaking, the IS wants to have it's Refrigerant checked every 3 years or so... There is a sight glass on the right hand side in the engine bay, if the sight glass has no or very few bubbles once the aircon has been running for about 10-15 mins then the charge is fine, lots of bubbles once the system has initially stabilised suggests that you may need a recharge..

Not many Jap cars have the refrigerant weight stuck under the bonnet, I know that mine doesn't though the original charging instructions for the IS used to be, charge the aircon system until the sight glass is clear of bubbles and then add 100 grams.. Perhaps this is what confuses some folk, though I don't think that the factory even stuck these instructions under the bonnet

On 2 cars I had recharged by a tyre shop, both had trouble the next year. One compressor seized, and the other is out of gas again.

Now I am far from sure either wouldn't have happened anyway, but from now on I will only use main dealer or specialist aircon company for any work and ancourage all to leave the cheap regassers alone.

how often should the air con be serviced ?

When driving along, if you don't get almost instant cooling and dehumidifying when you switch it on, then it needs a service. Preferably go to a specialist who can put the dye in as well. If it smells use Wynn's Aircon spray. That is easy to do yourself.
