The only false alarms I've had with mine has been washing the car when I press down with the sponge in the centre of the roof. I think it's more down to movement of the air in the car or the sensors than vibration though.

there is no vibration sensor for the alarm system on the IS, there is however i believe an internal sensor which works on ultra sonics.

So it would be possible for the vibration/pressure waves from the gas turbine exhaust gases to set off the alarm system.

a while ago we had a really rough night 60/70 mph wind gustsand the alarm did go off but it only did it once.

I know a bit about this one. The IS 200 has an internal motion sensor alarm. The sensors are located just behind the internal light on the roof panel. The sensors are moulded into the same light cluster and you should notice them as two nibs on the plastic. I know this because i just had my sensors changed at the dealership - not due to false alrams, but because the sensors dd not pick up any motion. Hope this helps!
