Lexus Service 4 Is200

Recommended Posts

This is the first time I will have to service my Lexus IS200, its on an 04, 75000 miles. The car has a full Lexus Service history so I was wondering whether any one could shed any light on how much a typical service costs bearing in mind I had it MOT'd in February, I appreciate there could be things that will need maintaining but how much typically is a Lexus Service and is it worth getting it done by Lexus or getting a local garage to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My car has 64500 miles with a FLSH and i couldn't dare take it to anywhere other than Lexus, but thats just me :S

Anyways, i have booked it in to Lexus Newcastle today for an intermediate and its costing me £149 inc parts and labour! It is a special promotion they are apparently having as its normal price i was told is £199 + VAT.

So to answer your question, it depends on what dealer you go to but standard service between £150-200 + VAT with that sort of millage is my estimate.

Which service is due? Being an 04 plate it's in cambelt country, as it needs to be done at 6 years or 60k miles. As you've done 75k miles it may have been done already in which case it'll save you a few quid, if not that service cost me £700 at Lexus.

mine went in this morning for the 70,000 service and it cost £130. they said lexus specs were not to change the oil on this service . but the garage said you should really change oil on a service so they did it anyway. hope this helps

That wasn't just the cambelt though, it was the cambelt plus the 60k major service. But yes it's still a high price, that was discounted though, full price is almost £1k for that service!

a £1000 !!!!! i,m suprised lexus get any work thru servicing, at those sort of prices !

Lol, I guess people like me still go and pay them

To be fair though I don't find it that bad, minor services cost about £200, I've got the car booked in for a major service on Friday and that'll be £400, but as it's the only expense on the car really throughout the year in terms of maintenance it's not a huge deal.

It's not a lot extra for more peace of mind, and a nice courtesy car to use for the day :)
