Hi all, thinking of buying new wheels, will 18x8 et34 fit my is300 without any major modification to the arches?

i've got 18x8 et35 with no rubbing, 225/40 18, but on standard springs, they do sit slightly further out than is ideal, but no issues

my car is lowered 40mm on tein springs, the guy said he could get the wheel skimmed 5mm where it bolts onto the hub, is this safe?

i wouldnt bother mate they sound like they would be fine.... im fitting wider than that and ill have to flare but barely.... and only cause i want my car on the deck!!

depends on how much you skim alloys and how thick the centre is in the first place, it can compromise the strength of the rim, Ormi has the same fitting wheels as me but his tyre size is different to allow more clearance between the tyre and the arches, and his is lowered, he has no issues
