Cds Stuck In Cd Player

I seem to have got a problem with my cd player as the cds won't eject, none will play and I get a "cd error" message.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry Mike couldn't resist,seriously it may be that you have to remove the player and then get some local repair shop take a look at it or if you feel confident have a look inside yourself, I heard before that some CDR type discs have poorly made centre holes and can jam on the spindle motor turntable.

There is no easy solution I'm afraid,you could try pulling the fuse for the player or disconnecting the Battery (beware of radio/alarm codes etc if you do the latter) and see if the mech will reset.

Failing that PM benfur to see if he has a working unit to swap it out.

Can you get the cassette out? Is there a hole for a paper clip to be pushed in to activate the eject mechanism? Maybe 2 CDs went through at once?

All fixed, thank you!

Removed the cd changer/cassette radio unit following - http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls430/421716-question-installing-vaistech-sl2vi-w-pics.html.

Then removed the face-plates for both units - nb. cassette on first to avoid damaging the cd changer one.

All 6 cds were then removed using an old pair of my wife's tweezers. The bottom one was a bit tricky as it initially fouled on a little bit of plastic or something that stuck up on the left hand side.
