"oil Maint Reqd" Warning

The following warning message appeared today "oil maint req'd". I've checked the oil level and that seems fine and also reset the oil maintenace log in the maintenace menu on the navigation screen. The car drives normally and the temperature gauge is normal aswell. Has anybody had a similar message and is there an easy fix?

Hold down the trip ODO reset button and press the start button with foot off the clutch to bring on ignition lights. On ODO dipslay you will see a countdown start, when it gets to the end release ODO button ans switch off ignition.

Start car as normal and your display should be clear, all in all takes around 10-15 seconds...
