Remote Key Fob

Hi guys since buying my lexus ( last december ) the key fob has never had a Battery in,i have now put 1 in but dont no how to reset the fob.

any help would be much appreciated, many thanks

I seem to remember something about removing the Battery from the fob, keep the button pressed to disharge any residual charge held in the fob. Then put the Battery back and with the ignition switched to acc, press the button to re-sync the rolling codes. Not sure if that is correct or not, but has worked on my second key fob before.

mine stopped working, it went in for service on thurs and i asked them 2 have a look, he said open the fob up, 1 little screw. and hold the lock and unlock button down.then put back together

Remove the back of the remote and remove the Battery (if it's not fixed in the back casing). Sit in the car and hold the lock & unlock buttons at the same time for about 30 seconds - WITHOUT THE Battery FITTED.

Replace the Battery & casing, then press the lock, then unlock bottons seperately.This should have re-programmed it for you. :winky:

just tried all the answers and to no avail . when i put it all together the red light flashes on the key fob,then if i press any buttons the red light goes to solid ! any more ideas ?
