Track Day With 220D

Recommended Posts

I have seen three years of the Toyota Sprint Series racing from old cars to brand new diesels

will no ill effects on any of the cars

how do you thrash an engine, with rev limiters the engine will only rev to what it is designed for

the only real casualty will be tyre wear

if you heat the engine up before the drive and cool it afterwards, it makes no problem for the engine.

but clutch, flywheel, whole drive train, gearbox (if changing aggressively), brakes - this all is trashed.

not to mention what will happen if you end up in the gravel...

True, but at least the engine will be fine. I want only to try this once, I have to go abroad for a race track cause in my county dont have one! I dont think the clutch drivetrain etc, will be damaged in one day. or?
