Recommended Posts

My 2006 GS300 SE will require brake pads soon , is there any special eqipment required for this ? or is it a straight forward job..ie is there any electric pumps etc (like on Meredes ) to be wary of ?

There's a big list of 'how to' topics in the GS section here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=60901

One of the ones it links to lists front brake pad install here http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake/fbpad.html

It says for an LS400 but looks very similar to doing IS200 so not sure if GS300 also like that.

There's links to workshop manuals too which might be useful.

Found someone else asked the same question recently so here's that one http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=68970

Links to a different 'how to' so perhaps that's more like it.

Hope there's something in that lot to help somewhere.

Thanks for the links, I have had a look , most of the info refers to the IS models, but it looks just a normal 10 min job to swop the pads , no electric pumps to worry about..I will get on the case tomorrow and get them swopped

Thanks again Tim
