Suspension Collapsed After 3 Year Lay Up - Help

We have a '93 LS400 directly imported from Japan in '92 (Toyota Celsior)which has been laid up without a Battery for nearly 4 years. The suspension had "settled" or "collapsed" during this time. Today we put a Battery on and she started FIRST TIME!!! Very pleased. However, I had assumed that the suspension would jack itself up again once the car was running, but no such luck! I have switched from normal to high ride height but no difference.

My question is simple - where do I look first, what are the most likely problems?

This car is a gold badge with only 66,000 kilometers on the clock and immaculate in every way so I hope very much that I am not facing a huge repair bill - it would be a huge shame to scrap her. The only other thing I should say is that the dashboard diagnostics and displays are all in Japanese characters, so even if the car is trying to tell me something, I cant read it!!!

First open the toolbox area in the boot, locate the switch at the back and make sure the air suspension is switched on!

Most dash warning lights go out when the engine is started, except the handbrake light until it is released and the seatbelt light until it is fastened,do any other lights remain on after this?

With it being stood so long the seals are probably well gone or the pump may have seized, the only thing I can suggest is locate the air pump and check if it is running then go from there.

I think the AS relay is located in a black plastic box around the air filter area.

With the cost of this type of suspension it may be cheaper to convert to a conventional system.

Mine is a 1994 but with TEMS coil overs and not airbag suspension thankfully.

Where are you in the UK? Not many Celsiors about.

What ever you do don't scrap it! If it comes to that point let me know it would always be welcome at my Celsior Sanctuary.
