Hi all.

Had an issue the other week with the Battery and as a result of Honda placing colours incorrectly on the Battery of my wifes new car ( in no way am i at fault for not double checking !! ) I ended up blowing a load of fuses. Have changed loads and nearly everything appears to be working.

However, the symbol for the lights and full beam dont light up on the dash. My mate used to be a mechanic and said that it could fail the mot as the tester should check this?? mot is due in couple of weeks so thought i wud change beforehand to avoid the risk. Have been looking on loads of threads and decided to change the bulbs myself. Although loads mention the sppedo ring, am struggling to find what the correct bulb is for the two light symbols. Help very much appreciated.

Am thinking that whilst the dash is off, maybe changing the the drab orange speedo lights as well. There seems to be a few who mention unequal light displays and dimmer lights after doing this so was wondering what the best lights are to get.

Also, are the fleabay lights reliable or am i better going to a shop?? Hoping to attempt this over weekend if the bulbs are readily available.

BTW it is an is200se x-reg

Cheers

Kev

Hi all.

Posted the above in general maintenance section with no response a few days ago.

Moved it here hoping someone can help.

Am going to take dash off in next couple of days anyway, but am hoping to have the new bulbs beforehand, to save the some time.

If anyone can help , would be much appreciated

Cheers mate.

Thars a relief.

Only just noticed your post, followed the guides yesterday and took out the dash, piece of p£@s. Took abt 20 mins all in.

Anyhow, changed the bulb with the front fog symbol bulb to test. The bulb wasnt the problem so it appears to be something more sinister as the working bulb isnt lighting up the symbol, flipped it around incase of polarity, still no light????

Started re-checking all the fuses again to see if i missed something first time. Noticed that the headlight washers arent working either.

Just looked through a few threads and am going to be ambitious and hope it is a low reservoir, but with my luck am expecting something costly. Window wipers still work so am getting confused. Wished i listened more in school now as crap at understanding electrics. BTW not hearing any clicking noise when pressing washer button like most mention. Could this be the motor???

Anyone had anything similar.

Cheers

Kev
