Clunk/thumb On And Off Throttle

Hi lads, recently I drove a stock IS200 (Manual) which made a slight thumb (hear and feel) on and off the throttle. It's about half or a second behind going on or off the throttle.

Just before that I had the car parked with the engine running to have a look under the bonnet. I noticed that the throttle is operated indirectly to ease out throttle input from the rider. And probably reduce strain on the engine and transmission?

Anyway, I was wondering if that could cause the thumb that's slighly laging behind?
