If I bought a car new for x pounds and have had it for 10 years is there a website(s) to calculate the current cost so I can input the correct amount it is worth when applying for car insurance? I'm guessing a lower car price => lower premium?

Car insurance works on market value, so what you paid for it doesn't matter. Look at somewhere like autotrader for a similar vehicle in age, spec., miles and condition and use that. Bare in mind a dealer will be charging more so maybe take an average between a private and dealer price.
