1998 Ls400

Just joined - so evening all. I am lucky enough to now own an LS400, which is a great driving experience I have to say... I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find a conclusion on any previous threads. The Ariel on my LS is stuck half way up, the CD Changer wont eject and although I can see all the available radio stations on my screen I have no sound. Is this down to the Ariel, the stuck CD changer or the amp... Where to start. Please help

Thanks

R

First of all, welcome to LOC.

I have a '98 MKIV and, if yours is a MKIV, I think the radio staions will show on the screen if they are stored in memory. However, even with the aerial halfway up, you should still receive the local stations.

Try MW / LW or even a cassette to test the unit itself.

Thanks

Mike

Yep checked with cassette but still no sound at all, traffic alerts flash up too on screen whilst I'm driving around, but I don't hear them either (and yes I do have the volume turned up - unless there is a mute on the system I'm not aware of)...

thoughts?
