Headlight Bulb Lexus Ls400 Mk4 1998

I hope everyone had an enjoyable XMAS.

I am in Scotland for XMAS and need to get/buy a headlight bulb for my Lexus. The main dealership is miles away and I will probably be charge the earth anyway.

I have tried Halfords and they say they do not stock this type of bulb.

Any ideas.

Thanks for the response. I have found the bulbs on the internet. What K do I need to purchase (4,300k, 6,000k, 8,000k, 10,000k, 12,000)?

It's ok I have just worked it out. It's the light colour.

Hi,

The standard colour temperature should be 4300K if you are getting a pair it doesn't matter too much,the higher the figure the more blue the light becomes.

Do you know whether upgrading to a higher K (say the maximum - 12000K) is:

1.Legal?

2.Beneficial? (provide better night vision)

3.Will work with the car without nasty side-effects to the electrics, etc.?

I am certainly confused by the huge price variation on the net, from £299 for one bulb (4300K) to £19.99 for one bulb (regardless of K). Any thoughts/suggestions?
