New 2011 Is 200

hi just drove the new is200d in the f sport trim very impressed with the overall spec ie kit and interior but cant understand the reason behind it as the is220d and is250 are more responsive as the is200d and petrol are not so why would lexus decide to bring this model to our shores

Thought it was the same engine as the 220D, just detuned to give more mpg for the fleet market. Going to be dropped eventually and replaced with the IS250 hybrid.
