Is300 Starting Issue

hi guys,

hope every one had a great christmas  (too much food)

right i seem to have a problem with my is300 :shutit: if any one could help that would be great :winky:

went to go out shopping yesterday and she would'nt start engine was turning over and was getting a buzzing sort of noise

which sounded to me like the start motor spinning but not engaugeing, (might not have been)

if this was the case would the engine have been turning over

the girlfriends dad has a gs300 and said that it was the same noise he got trying to start his with no petrol (parked on a hill)

i had 3/4 of a tank so i no thats not the reason.

managed to get her started after 3 trys ended up with 2 ton of white smoke coming out the exhaust

am hoping thats where the carb's may have flooded

went out to work this morning (2.30am) didnt have no buzzing type of noise but took a little longer to start than normal

and had to push the accelerator a little, but when i finshed work this morning (11am) she started as normal :excl:

could this be a one off or some thing more

my main worry is ending up out some where and she not starting and having to wait for hours for recovery,

but at the same time i dont want to spend money if i dont need to what with

xmas, road tax, driving licence renewal, all in the same month.

many thanks tony.

Mine does the same in winter as well. If it has been sitting on the drive for a week. On the 2nd start usually give it a bit of gas, on the 3rd start it is guaranty to start.

I say get cold crank amp measured on the Battery first.
