Headlamp Washer Cover

Hi, The plastic headlamp washer jet cover has popped off on my IS250. Car just over 2 years old so will check with Lexus on Tuesday if it is under warranty. In the meantime does anyone know if it is likley to be covered. If it isn't I know the part itself is fairly cheap (assuming only plastic cover needed) but anyone know how much Lexus charge to fit it as I think it is tricky fit yourself.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I had a look on the parts database but couldn't find the part you need.

If you have a friendly dealer they should replace it under warranty perhaps as a gesture of goodwill or if you receive a negative response make a subtle point of saying "I didn't expect parts to fall off a 2 year old Lexus I wonder if other members of the Lexus Owners Club have had the same fault!"

Bear in mind if it is colour coded they may have to order it in for you.

Thanks for the response. I'll post a reponse once the garage have fixed it on Friday, hopefully under warranty or I'll be less than pleased.

headlamp washer is delivered from a windshield washer pump to a washer located for bidirectional pivotal movement across the headlamp lens as actuated by a vacuum motor and controlled by an operator controlled program switch.
