Gs300 Lpg Conversion

I have a 2006 GS300SE. Can anyone offer advice or experience of LPG conversion on this or any other Lexus vehicles?

Hi Mitch and welcome to LOC

having converted a GS300 to LPG my advise is please please please please dont do do it, it killed mine. I was a confirmed high milage LPG user until the day I converted the Lexus, complete disaster!

Tell us what the problems were as there's plenty on here happily using gas and I've not had problems with other cars on gas(not Lexus)

hi ive run 2 lexus gs 300 mk2 98 and2001 models that's the straight six,the only gs 300 the 2005/11 mk3 now that's difficult to get lpg fitted too.for reasons unknown to me,but give the lexus club forum a little while and we will both have that answer, so straight six no probs/v6 probs.i would highly recommend the lpg conversion saves you a lot of money in tax and fuel costs roughly half of petrol.but get it fitted by a good company and get the certificate,after fitting,or you've wasted time and money,brian

The V6 engine uses dual injection. It is the direct injection part of this that causes problems buy burning off the tips of the injectors when running on LPG since there is no fuel flow through the injectors to cool them.

I have the 450H that I would like to convert, but it seems the only way at the moment is to allow some direct petrol injection even when running on LPG. This makes the exercise a bit pointless.

The mk3 GS300 3.0L V6 is direct injection only. I'm shocked that LPG is even an option due to this.
