Brake pad limit indicator? Check your pads.

Nope the IS doesnt have pad limit indicators

Have you fitted LED bulbs? if so that will cause it

If its the handbrake light you have a brake light out, check the high level one

Doesn't the IS have a separate light for such events as bulb failure?

re-reading the light thats on is the handbrake light.

either LED bulbs are being used, or you have a brake light out, the high one is the culprit in most cases
