Coil Packs Covered By Extended Warranty?

My car packed up last night - Check VSC - called road side assist this morning, following error codes retrieved:

PO300 - Multi Cyl Misfire

PO301 - #1 Cyl Misfire

PO305 - #5 Cyl Misfire

The bloke reckoned it was the coil packs - and it was hauled off to my local dealership.

The car has extended warranty cover with Lexus, and has done 55k - should it be the coil packs will this be covered, as to my mind these are not 'serviceable items'? I know I haven't had confimation of this yet, but wanted to gather some information before I go in to see what the damage is...
