Cracked Key Cover

Hi

One of the plastic of the key has cracked quite badly and the key blade is kind of not rigidly connected to the plastic casing now. The part that cracked is the half where the buttons are.

What can I do to solve this? Can the plastic be swapped?

Hi,buy a plastic casing and key blade off eBay or elsewhere,havv the key cut and then transfer the transponder from the old key fob to the new one.

Thanks, so the tranponder just pull off the plastic casing? anything fragile in there?

Does it needs reprogramed?

IS timpson good enough for car keys cutting? Any recommendation? I am based in Cumbria.

Hi,not sure if timpson can but you can give them a try(they cant in northampton)once cut just unscrew the old fob,take out the transponder and put it in the new one and screw back.

Be sure you buy the right sized blade off eBay. Same happened with mine and the blade is too long. Will have to start again.
