Anti Hi-Jacking Lock

hi guys, quick question regarding locking the doors from inside- pushing the button,i was LED to believe from the lexus salesman. when purchasing car that this could be changed via the garage computor, so that the door automaticaly lock at about 9 mph [ Anti hijack]. ask for this today whilst having car serviced and told when picking the car up. that this is not possible on this model-is 250 se-l mm [55 plate 06] anybody know different. thanks in advance

Mines a1994 LS400 and auto locks at 20 MPH,are Lexus going backwards?

When I bought my IS220d , The 57 plates did not have the feature but the 08 plates onwards did. I waited as wanted this feature. Being a South African it made me feel at home. LOL.

Came in on the 2008 model I think. My 55 plate 250 SE-L could not be programmed but my IS-F has the function.

I also thought it came in later, but this seems to claim otherwise. How did you get it on yours?

I got back to the service manager on monday to complaine regarding my 40k service they done on saturday , or the lack of service. as even when they repaired a puncture [free of charge] they failed to check and put correct air pressure in all tyres. and failed to refill screen washer. basically paid £206 for a oil change and filter. so not happy. so asked why they could not activate the hi-jack , his answer was only certain chasis number runs were done on the early years.and then we had -i'll speak with the technician to see why he did'nt carry out tyres/ washers.like i said he's hardly going to own up to doing a crap job . done a 150 mile round trip for service/ brake recall and a valet which took altogether 2.5 hrs. told when booking car in. recall alone was 2hrs and i guess 15 mins for a bit of valet, leaves 15mins for service. lexus said the will make it up to me the next time i visit. i wont be going back, i'll go to my local toyota dealer. lexus put in £25 of fuel in car as part of the recall, and a bottle champane [cheap] as a thank you for my buisness. going to have to do better than that to get me back. as like most people, just want your pride and joy looked after . rant over

Just asked them to program it when I bought it (Lexus leicester). locks automatically after 15MPH (SE-L AUTO if that makes a difference).

Also, the programmable feature that is available to anyone was only for 08+ cars AFAIK (the abililty to lock when engaging drive, and unlock when engaging park), but lexus servicing can activate the anti-hijack on any 250 - despite what they might tell you.

Interesting, so the UK and US cars were the same, seems the dealers were lying or oblivious to the fact.

Ok, so how is it? Is is possible on my 2007 IS 220 D to have this option activated or what ?
