Low Fuel Light

I've just tried searching for this but i can't find the answer.... Just wanted to know how much fuel there is in the tank when the low fuel light comes on? In my last car as well as the low fuel indication i also had a "range left" display so i knew roughly how much was in the tank.

It's an IS300 if that makes any difference.

I'm sure i've seen it somewhere on here before but can't find it for the life of me.

From memory think it comes on at about 7litres, but would never trust it to be accurate. Just take it as meaning do not pass next filling station.

I think it was ~10l in my IS200

I know I can do 60 miles city/hwy driving with the light on.

Thanks for the responses..... Now i've seen it 10 litres rings some bells so think it might be that. In the 300 it would be around 40 miles range i suppose as an average.

Yup i would agree that its about 10l. The way to find out is when the light turns on, fill up and see how much goes into the tank and then substract that by 70l which should = the tank when the light comes on.

I tend to fill my car half tank as i feel i get an extra 30 miles from my journey this way instead compared to a full tank.

approx 2 gallons.

i done 30 miles on mine & had 5 litres left when i filled up.

so assuming 60 miles max if you lucky.
