Hi members,

I'm new here having just purchased an 06 GS300 from Lexus in Leeds.

The car is absolutely beautiful and it wasn't much of a decision when faced with the choices from "Ze jermans" (saying that i've just come out of a 6 series Bm) however one thing that seems to crop up on various reviews i've studied, is seat support and comfort.

Could any long term owners of GS's give me some feedback on this topic as i do suffer from time-time with lower back pain, and if the seats are a worry i can purchase some driving cushions to compensate for the poor lumbar.

Thanking you all in advance.

Hello.

I don't think I've ever heard of people with comfort related problems, quite the opposite. I would drive around for a bit and adjust your seat to suit. I'm sure that you'll be very comfortable!

Welcome to Lexus !!!

Had a GS from new in March 2006 - Never had an issue with the seats and comfort. Just make sure you get the lumber support adjusted nicely (I prefer mine so I can feel it pushing and supporting my back), and finding a comfortable position isn't really an issue with 10 different adjustments on the seat !

Thanks for the reply Ed, really appreciate it. I've had the Car a few days now and from someone who drove a Phaeton for 2 years, I have to say that i am mighty, mighty impressed, what a fantastic machine.

I will deliver a full report some other time but for anyone who was/is in my position, then don't hesitate, just get in one and everything will become clear, trust me.

Just go back from a round trip to Scotland and back in a day (about 650 miles today) and i would say the car is faultless. The seats are fantastic and i adjusted the lumber support a bit on the way home. Got out the car at either end with no aches or pains.
