Service Rip Off

When I collected my Lexus from Lexus Norwich, after a 60k service I nearly fell off my chair at the £550 charge. My fault, I should have asked first, but the dealership should disclose too.

Instead, when I shared my frustration with the Dealer Principle, I was told "should've asked shouldn't you"!!! Needless to say, I'll be going to Kwikfit from now on.

I'd recommend to all, shop around, so you don't get ripped off.

It doesn't sound a bad price, how much did you think it would be? My 60k service would have been around the £650 mark due to replacement plugs, I think the RX has a plug change at 60k too.

Most people advise to check servicing costs with a few dealers to secure the best price. I doubt many would buy anything without asking price first.

I don't mean to be harsh in the response but I don't think you were ripped off. If you want to risk servicing at kwikfit to save a few ££ then so be it, when it comes time to sell it will look like you didn't care much for your car and the price will reflect this.

Hello dude, by all means look for another garage of the price is high (I do most work myself), but go to Kwik Fit at your peril.

Try and find a local family trusted mechanic, and get genuine Toyota / Lexus parts.

Jason.
