Engine Reflash?

Hi guys I have just bought my first lexus is220d 06 plate with 45000 on the clock, I opened the bonnet the other day and noticed a sticker saying toyota modification, full engine reflash! Dealer code ect, I was just wondering what this was exactly, any help would be much appreciated,

there was a new software for the ecu (engine control unit computer). I think it improves engine performance in the lower revs. some lexus garage update the software for free when you get service from them. otherwise you need to pay for it to be updated.

Thanks a lot, would the mileage that this got done at be noted on the sticker? As it looks like it says 89000 on it but the car says on the clock 45000, just a little apprehensive although the service book is upto date and coincides with the millage the car shows????
