Coolant Leak Help**

some body please help me i have started to notice coolant patches on the ground had the water pump replaced it seems to be coming from the the back top part of the pump coolant doesent leak when the car heats up but when it cools down it leaks what is causeing this and how much would it cost to fix plese help :)

Was the gasket replaced along with the pump?

Did it leak before you got the pump changed ? If not, i'd take it back to the guy who changed the pump and tell him to fix it.

it is the part of the pump that is stuck to the engine block it doesent leak when the engine is warm

yes new pump and gasket was fitted small amounts of coolant leking

I had the same problem when I changed the water pump on my IS200 to a non original water pump (I did it the same time as the timing belt). Was losing about 1 liter of coolant in 24 hours. Tried refitting the water pump two time using new gasket and gasket sealant (and lots of coolant) each time with no help. I then got a new original Lexus water pump and not a leak since and got a refund on the non original water pump. So find out what make of water pump was fitted as that might be it.

i think its the water bypass hose were the orings go on the top half of the pump
