Rear Light "gremlins"

Hi,

On my MK2 RX300 (2003), I have just noticed that the blown light indication on the dash comes on sometimes. On looking at the rear lights when they are on, some of them are not on. There are four in total and sometimes some work and some dont. But here is the weird bit, if I tap the light casing with my hand, they come back on !!! It's a bit intermittent. I dare not go near Lexus for their opinion (££££), so hopefully someone out there may be able to advise me ? Thanks. Bobby

i had same problem the other week on one of the brake lights, i went and bought a new bulb but this was the same, at the end of the day the bulb was not pushed home ? try pulling the bulb out and then push it back in till you hear it click in, if they are not clicked in you dont get a good connection

if you can tap them and they come back on that to me screams loose wiring or a broken termnal. do you know how to take your lights out? if so id take them out and just take a look at the connetion of the offending light

Hi you probably have a loose or dirty connection or a loose bulb,take offending connection give it a clean and see what happens
