Is 220D Engine Oil

Hi,

What kind of engine oil do you use for your IS? I have to change it and my local dealer has recommended 5w40 full syntethic .

The car's manual said 5w30 , API CF-4 or CF and ACEA B1 . I can't find any oil with ACEA B1 ( Castrol or Mobil 1) .

I can buy Mobil 1 5w40 ESP Formula M

or Castrol Magnatec Disel 5w40

What do you think ?

Mobil 1 ESP FORMULA 5W-30 is recommended, if you go to 5w-40 it will be OK. It should be acea b3, which is higher grade than b1.

For a real upgrade, 2 choices:

Mobil1 0W40 or Bardhal Technos C60 Polar with fullerene 5W30 or 5w40.

I'm doing my 90.000 Km check up and i'll put the first.

I'll use 5w40 full synthetic , is more flexible. Also I'll use this oil ( made in USA ) .
