Iphone 4 Multimedia

I have a 2010 IS 220d with multimedia and my Iphone 4 pairs up and works well however every now and again the phone disconnects from the car mid conversation then reconnects after about 5 seconds.

Does anyone else experience this ?

yes, mine does this.

I believe it's because i have my Iphone set-up with 'password protect'.

next time this happens, pick up your phone and activate it, you'll probably find that the phone requires you to input your password, once this has been entered then make a call.

It will probably happen again if you don't make a call during your password protect period.

I have an iphone4 and it pairs ok when I enter the car but get many many reports of the audio stuttering when I am talking, I tend to hear people ok and the call doesnt drop.

Never had a problem with my nokia on the same journeys.

My Iphone 4 pairs and works just fine, unless I password protect it - when it awaits a password and drops if it doesn't get one.

Yep, same here. Not a fault, just a security issue because the phone is password protected,

Remove the password feature in your car and this should clear up any issues.
