Has anyone ever changed the universal joint just above the pedals, on the steering column? Mine has a bit of play (causing a fair bit of knocking at the wheel, under braking).

I wondered if I'd have to replace the entire column, or if just that UJ is available?

Both of the lower UJs are available but I would try a breakers or eBay as they are not cheap :o

Hmmm, I'm a Chinese whore from Mars if that's a specially-made component just for Lexus. I wonder if the same part is available at Toyota?

If it is used in a Toyota then the price should be the same :(

Bottom UJ is £87.59 + vat 45209-50010 also used on 98 on Century

Sliding UJ is £203.45 + vat 45260-50060 only used on LS400 98 on
