Is200.. Auto Or Manual?

Hey guys, new and need some input.

Going to buy an is200 in the next few weeks and would like to get the auto but I've heard it's not that good? Is it really that bad?

Would prefer it over a manual but would like to see what you guys think?

The box is fine in that it's very smooth and kicks down readily enough. The complaints are that the 4 speed box makes the car quite slow and it's not great on fuel either (I average about 23mpg).

As a second hand buy I think the IS300 makes a bit more sense if your budget stretches to one, as there isn't much in it on fuel economy but it's going to be a better car all round.

Having said that I'm very happy with my auto, take one for a test drive and see what you think.
