Hi all

Hope you can help please. What would be the effect of putting 235x60x16 on a MK3 ls400 compared to the stock 225 size? Would they fit without rubbing? Would they affect the running, wear and tear on suspension etc. or MPG? Any advice greatle appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Charlie

There is only a few mm difference all round between standard 255/55/16s and 235/60/16s so there would be little effect on handling or geometry, the slightly higher sidewalls may give a little more flex in the tyre during cornering but nothing drastic. The speedo will read around 5% low so at 30mph you will actually be travelling at 31.6mph.

Just make sure the tyres are rated for the performance of the car.
