Recommended Posts

hi all,

not sure where to post this, but as im specifically enquiring about the is250 i thought i'd post it here.

i have an 2006 is250 SE-L petrol

i would like to get a service from lexus dealer.

i would like to know the following:

recent (12 months or so) servicing costs interim and full also experience received

has anyone used those online servicing places where they claim to be cheaper than main dealers

many thanks

I was quoted £449, i think it was, for a 40k service, brake fluid change, g/box oil etc, but i decided to supply my own oil and the price went down to £353, i will always supply my own oil, as i will end up with some left over for topping up, i'm reluctant to pay a dealer almost £100 for 6.5lts of oil, oh and they charged £10 for remote key Battery, bleeding cheek.

The key Battery was a mind blow for me. My Battery died, and I spent three hours trying to find a replacement in all sorts of stores. Even my nearest depart was out of stock, who would of thought?

The last place I looked was the first place I should of looked. Local street Market. 3 for £5. Sorted.

I've recently booked my IS250 in for an interim service (50K) with Cambridge Lexus for £192 (inc. of VAT).

Never had any problems with either the dealer or the car, so I'm a happy bunny.
