Updating The Hdd Navigation System

Hi There

Getting my C200h in Sept so a wee while to wait yet.

My current car is a Honda Civic and the Sat Nav works great but is very out of date.

I am hoping that the Lexus will have a more recent map and have the ability to be updated more often as its a HDD system and not CD / DVD based.

Anyone know if / how this is possible ?

On the Toyota Prius, there is a Firewire socket behind the satnav screen which is visible when you open it to insert a CD. I believe this is there to update the map data, but it can only be done by the Toyota dealer. I think some owners have connected a laptop to the Firewire socket, but have not been unable to access the HDD, so I guess Toyota have specialist software to update the syestem. Only had my CT200h a couple of days and haven't seen any Firewire socket, but I guess it must be there somewhere. I suspect it works in the same way as the Prius and can only be updated by the dealer.
