Radio Interference When I Turn On The Fog Lamps....

Recommended Posts

Hi recently bought new fog lamp, HID lamps. They work nice and make the car look much nicer at night:) But when I turn them on , the radio reception is almost gone. Anyone knows why? Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

its a safty feature.

when the fog lamps are switched on, the car realises that visibility is seriously reduced and mutes the radio so you can concentrate better :winky:

Oh dear, why are you using fog lights at night on clear summer evenings anyway?

Turn them off and use your lights properly for the weather conditions instead of trying to "look nicer".

Thanks for the reply. Yes the car had normal bulbs but I fitted HID kit to it. But the HIDs are making a lot of interference, I don't know what can i Do

It's probably the ballasts causing the interference as they make a high pitched sound when you turn them on.

Try moving the ballasts to a different position.
