Trouble With Top Camber Arms After Lowering

Hi all,

Just wondering if people with lowered cars have had this problem, on some of the poorer road surfaces I get a knocking noise from the top Camber arms hitting on the inside of the arches, I have looked and this is what the noise is because there are marks on the metal.

What have people done/what would people recomend? Do I need to increase the pre-load on the springs? Get harder springs?

Info: BC Racing coilovers with pillowball top mounts, standard wheels/tyres.

Thanks David

Hi,

Sorry no one has replied yet, I can't help as I have an LS400 and know little about the IS but you could try calling these guys and asking for Tony Bone who in the past has done a lot of IS geometry set ups including sorting the infamous IS tyre scrub problem.

I've never spoken to him myself but he comes across as a helpful guy who may be able to diagnose the problem you have.
