Cannot Play Mp3 Files

I've burned mp3 files on a DVD disc, but the DVD player in my IS 220D cannot play the files. Ordinary music CDs work fine. What could be the problems ?

I found the same with my RX as like you I assumed it would handle DVDs but it doesn't. You can get some software which will burn a dvd with music and a menu but not as mp3s, just normal dvd audio so it won't fit as much on. Also you won't be able to see the menu screen while driving. I just gave up and used cdrs. I get about 60 albums across the six disks at least.

As above, the system can only play MP3 files on CDs.

Should mp3 also play on the standard cd player, e.g not the satnav type?

They did on my IS220d - that didn't have MM.

You can use a program called "Audio DVD Creator" to create DVDs that will store 700/800 mp3s. You will need to have the Sat Nav hack enabled to view menus and select songs. You can read more about it here:
