Ls430 Aircon

Hi all,

I have a 430LS 2001 which i have just driven to Spain.

I have had the gas recharged on the air con but the compressor will not start,

An auto electrician refused to touch the car as there are so many sensors.

Can anyone help to reset the system so that the aircon will work.

before you got new gas put in the system what did you repair? i mean why did you get it re-gassed? the system in your car should not naturally run out of gas untill the year 2019. so if it needed topped up you have a leak, regassing a car 2 or more times can cause coil failure on the a/c pump which will stop the clutch engaging

Hi Craig,

A pipe that runs along the fuel tank was cracked. This was the reason for the repair

Hi Craig,

A pipe near the petrol tank had a split in it which has now been repaired.

The system has been regassed a week with no leaks but will not start.

Any advice would be great

try and find the a/c compressor relay and pull it out, send power down to the pump and let me know what happens
