Abused Lexus LS400

Now the bad bits....

The started motor has packed up so will need replacing (quoted 50.00 off e-bay)

Small crack in windscreen but passed last mot with it

Wheels have some kerbing and are tarnished due to it being stood i was going to spray them black anyway !

Some staining to rear carpets but will clean off ok.

I am surprised he only thinks there are so few Bad Points.

Staining on the carpets. Oh Dear Oh Dear I dread to think.

wife refuses to drive it

I wonder why??????? At least one half of the relationship has some conscience.

Why do people do this to an innocent car.

If it was a MKII I would buy it for the smoked indicators to replace my cracked/glued one (new ones from the USA cost £28.00 + £40.00 shipping!) and the seats are the right colour and look in fairly good condition.

The S/S exhaust is worth around £300.00.

Got to agree we have seen a lot worse in the past but it is worthy of Marmite status.

Like the way it says the starter motor has gone but the car has never let him down? If a car doesn't start it has let you down.

Hi Fellow Lexuns

Having read this discription It reminds me of a ls400 catD front axle I bought 6 years ago for the spares. It was the exact year younger copy of my car I stripped everything that didn'nt stop it running including the bonnet boot and front wings.I swapped the front seats as they had only done 80k mine had done 140k.All of the ECUS apart from engine gearbox.all of the electrics and stowed the lot .as the car was the same colour the body swaps if needed will be simple in fact I have swapped the bonnet as I dropped a piece of wood on the original from the garage roof space.

I then sold the shell to some one who was building a kit car. After taking out my costs and the sale price to him The stow of spares and replacements set me back £95.

On the sublect of a failed starter motor if anyone would like to bring on a heart attack check out the tutorial on Lexls .
