56 is220d. Feels like the car's tyres are sticking on the road while driving during steering.

When turning the wheel slightly left and then turning back in there's a sticky feeling before the steering snaps back.

Any ideas?

Thanks all.

The tyres on my 220d did not wear evenly. Whilst still well within the legal limit when manoeuvring at slow speed the tyres seemed to 'stick' at the extremes of travel. This apparently was quite normal. I could get almost 20k out of a set but they would be down to the core around the outer edges whilst having plenty of tread in the centre.

Mine does the same thing, almost like a notch in the steering. Doesnt occur on every bend, just the same couple of bends every time i go round them. Mine gets cured everytime i have a set of new tyres fitted, and re-appears when the tyres are about half worn.
