Something To Be Aware Of

Found something out last night that whilst only a very minor issue could cause you to come back to a flat Battery!

I went to the car last night to retrieve a CD for my daughter, opened the PASSENGER door, switched on the power to allow me to extract the CD from the player, switched power off, shut the passenger door and locked the car

10 minutes later daughter asked why my lights were on my car! Looks like if you do the above actions the follow me home lights do not switch off!

Like I say, only a minor issue and chances of someone doing this are minimal but all the same better to be aware than come back to a flat Battery!

Did you enter the car from the passenger door?

If you did, this happens with all Lexus auto lights the lights come on when you turn the power on however they only switch off when the drivers door is opened. Therefore if you used the passenger door the lights don't receive signal to switch off.

ur lucky! are your lights set to auto?

Yes,I entered by the front passenger door and followed the sequence outlined by GJD. Lights went out when I locked the car - using the remote.
